Theater Workshop is a six week program for youth in grades 6 – 12.  The workshop curriculum provides an opportunity to learn and develop acting skills.  Topics of the curriculum include character development, improv, voice, projection & diction, and more.

Theater Workshop can be presented as an after school activity, used during theater camps, or as a community education tool.

Topics and components of the workshop include:

  • Theater games and exercises

  • Learning what makes up a theater

  • What is acting?

  • Learning all about movement on stage

  • Voice, one of your main tools as an actor!

  • Characterization

  • Improv!

  • Learning to put it all together

Theater Workshop was created and developed by Kevin Doheny to teach youth the art of acting in a fun and easy to learn way.

The easy to follow curriculum uses a wide variety of games, exercises, and methods.  By learning the fundamentals of developing characters, performing  monologues, and learning improvisational skills, young actors can have better auditions and gain confidence on stage for performing in public.

No prior acting experience is needed for Theater Workshop, just a positive attitude and a desire to learn theater and have fun with other budding actors!
